Micoustic Media Origins
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Colin was tasked with streaming worship services for the Aimwell Baptist Church. Colin's goal was to "get the Word out with quality." Being a quick study, his research and technical expertise impressed the congregation. Others in his community became interested in Colin's videography skills as well. He was hired as the videographer for the Oral History Project of the Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church Legacy Foundation. He also did graphic design and videography for his close friend's political campaign. Colin quickly learned that his technical skills were now a perfect accompaniment to his love for music and ministry. Consequently, the idea for Micoustic Media was born out of this merging of talent and technology.
Micoustic Media Name
The name Micoustic Media comes from Colin's maternal grandmother, Dorothy Cleggs Micou. Dorothy taught Colin the fundamentals of reading music. So, Colin dreamed of naming his company in her honor. Micoustic is the merging of the name 'Micou' and the music word acoustic. Colin's original motivation was to write choral music. However, his vision has grown as his life has evolved. So, Micoustic Media is a name that is rooted in heritage and open to the glorious possibilities of a visionary future.
